Qualifications vary depending on the role.

• An Occupational Health Advisor is required to be a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience and have a recognised qualification in occupational health.
• We are very interested in growing our own team of practitioners and because of this we support RGNs with an interest in occupational health through a two-year development programme with a view to them staying with the organisation as a qualified OHA.
• Technicians are required to complete in-house and accredited training in relevant areas i.e. audiometry, spirometry, vision testing etc.
• Office Administrators are required to be trained to a Level 3 Business Administration or equivalent.

We encourage all our employees to keep their skills up to date, as well as learning new ones, and we provide training as and when required. Every member of our team has the opportunity to attend refresher courses and to participate in professional development workshops and events.

Roles vary considerably across the company, but a full job description and necessary training will be provided to all members of the team.

For the following roles, main responsibilities include:

• Occupational Health Advisors deliver Fitness for Work Assessments and reports to managers. They also carry out health screening including paper screening for On-Employment Questionnaires, Medical Assessments, Vaccinations, Venepuncture & Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) screening.
• Technicians carry out full health screening including Audiometry, Spirometry and Vision Testing, onsite or on client sites.

Yes. Our client base covers all of Cumbria and you could be required to travel across Cumbria on a regular basis to deliver services. Occasionally, you may be required to travel further afield.

Yes. All necessary, work-related mileage should be recorded and employees are required to complete a mileage claim form. This is then authorised and reimbursed to you based on our current travel policy. For more information on this and other company policies, please contact our administration team.
