We wanted to share this exciting news with you as it marks a significant moment for our business and for you as a much-valued Choose Occupational Health customer and supplier.
Occupational Health is changing, and public and government attention is more focused on OH than ever before, particularly the Department of Work & Pensions with a clear focus on reducing sickness and work inactivity. Choose Occupational Health is now a registered provider for a DWP pilot offering part-funded workplace assessments to support SMEs across Cumbria to help them retain employees and provide clear support and adjustment for employees living and working with health issues.
Choose OH is an SME and this is a positive for building strong relationships with its customers and suppliers, however, with the pace of change and higher levels of demand, it is clear that collaboration is a key requirement to sustain and safeguard the services that Choose has worked so hard to develop and deliver for Cumbrian businesses.
Therefore, on Thursday 28th March 2024, UKIM (UK Independent Medicals) part of the Exam Works Group acquired OH Acquisitions Limited (OHA) trading as Choose Occupational Health.
The acquisition by UKIM helps us to strengthen our capability to grow within Cumbria, with access to internal legal, H&S, Training/Development, HR and financial resources which an SME normally can’t access and will also allow Choose to provide additional clinical services to existing customers and expand our customer base to other business across the County.
Providing exceptional occupational health and wellbeing solutions remains a core part of our business and from our headquarters in Carlisle, we will continue to be your partner in this area – adding value to your business in the way we know you expect. On a day-to-day basis nothing will change, Sandra Holliday continues as Business Development/Managing Director of Choose supported by two Directors from UKIM; Ian Scanlan (Managing Director) and Simon Thomson (Finance Manager).
