Dr Stephen Turley – Occupational Health Physician

I’ve worked as an Occupational Health Physician (OHP) for the last 30 years. When I joined my first practice in 1992 the retiring partner had an occupational health (OH) role that I was asked to take on, so I sort of fell into the role by accident. But it’s been a hugely rewarding role: I’m motivated by making a difference, and I really enjoy the problem-solving dimension of OH work.

I’m skilled at resolving complex situations to provide a positive outcome for both clients and their employees and working in OH enables me the time to use these skills properly – I’m never rushed, which is a big ‘plus’ compared to other healthcare roles I’ve had.

Working remotely for Choose OH, the people in the wider team are a key part of what makes the company special. Being part of a team of people who have high professional and ethical standards is important; it’s something the Choose OH team certainly have.
